“The Next Generation”

Steve “Big Daddy” McMurry – Mary Lucey – Jason Flournoy – Billy Cardine – Billy Constable

Steve “Big Daddy” McMurry, front man and founding member of Acoustic Syndicate, returns to the world of bluegrass music with a formidable arsenal of musicians. Mary Lucey adds her beautiful and honest vocals and her rock solid bass playing. Jason Flournoy, formerly of Larry Keel & Natural Bridge, is an exciting and dynamic banjo player who can keep it down home or can stretch way out on seamless improvisations during the late night sets on the jam band circuit. Producer, engineer and dobro virtuoso, Billy Cardine, formerly of The Biscuit Burners, is one of Jerry Douglas’ favorite new dobro men. He has shared the stage with Edgar Meyer at Carnegie Hall and his recordings are featured on the BBC, PBS and the History Channel. Billy Constable is not only a virtuoso musician but he seems to know every nook and cranny of what makes bluegrass just sound awesome.

The Big Daddy Bluegrass Band is a vehicle for good times, fun music and fellowship. There are always great, guest musicians at their performances and you never know who will turn up to play. Some past members and guests include Wyatt Rice, Yonder Mountain String Band, Larry Keel, Jenny Keel, Curtis Burch, Billy Constable, Danny Knicely and Darol Anger.
